Testimonials

The training with Root SUP gave me all the tools I needed to follow this crazy journey of becoming a paddleboard yoga teacher. Emma is very thorough in her safety training as well as breaking down how exactly to teach on the water. We got the opportunity for practice rescues and practice teaching, and what gear is helpful to have as a teacher. I highly recommend this training!

About the Program

The Root SUP Yoga Teacher Training program will provide you with the necessary skills to become an effective and professional SUP yoga teacher. Our training has a strong emphasis on paddle skills and water safety in addition to SUP yoga teaching techniques. You will be trained in Root SUP’s unique, authentic, and accessible teaching style that will prepare you to teach to a variety of skill levels in any water environment.

This training starts with a live virtual session to lay the ground work and understand the basic structure and principles of a SUP Yoga class. Then we will meet in person, spending most of our time on the water, for a full Saturday and Sunday to get the hands on experience needed to be an effective and competent teacher.

This training is designed and led by Emma, she has been teaching SUP yoga for 7 years and is an ACA & WPA instructor. Learn more about her & her qualifications here.
