We are so excited to offer our first ever SUP Camp at NautiMI on the River! Camp will run from 9am-12:30pm, Monday-Friday, July 20-24.
We will spend most of the mornings on the water paddling in the chain of lakes and the river.
We will learn how to be efficient and safe paddlers, how to rescue ourselves and others on the water, rules of the water, and how to interact with nature when we are on the water! We will spend time paddling, portaging, exploring, observing nature, swimming, and more!
We do have access to the classroom in NautiMI if there is severe weather. Any classroom time will be spent learning paddle techniques, weather prediction, and important water safety information that don’t require being on the water to learn!
SUP Campers should know how to swim before attending camp and will be expected to wear a life jacket the entire time on the water!
We require a minimum of 4 campers in order to run camp! We will take a maximum of 8 campers (with a ratio of at least 4 campers to 1 coach) to keep SUP Camp fun and safe!
Before camp, be sure that your child eats a good breakfast and is well hydrated. Please have them bring water, snacks, a swim suit, sun clothes (hat, long sleeves, pants), change of swim suit/sun clothes, towels, sun screen.
